In any bookshop, gift shop, stationery store, supermarket - there is likely to be something that features robins and almost definitely at Christmas time; whether as adult and children's bird stories,  general wildlife, bird and animal books, children's tales and myths about Britain's favourite bird - the little robin redbreast, books and poems in rhyme and non-rhyme, nursery rhymes sung and memorised, easy-readers, bedtime stories, read-aloud books for children, narrative stories for a cosy read for more advanced readers, factual books and information for nature-lovers and bird-spotters, fantasy fairy tales for the highly imaginative and more, more.... more, novels, notebooks and even nature journals - than could ever be read by an individual in a decade!

The nation's favourite bird features on Christmas cards, Easter cards, greetings cards and all types of stationery products - what lovelier Christmas images than a snowy scene with a robin, Christmas tree decorations featuring red robins on them, cosy birds perched amongst winter garlands - indeed anything you could imagine. 

On food wrappings, bill-boards, tea-cups, curtains, bags, bookmarks and book covers - this familiar garden bird features in every type of visual display possible.

This sweet little garden bird has songs written about it and even a British car was named in its honour - the Reliant Robin! 

Most of all, my favourite image of this cherished garden bird is when one sits just outside the window to become what dreams are made of...

And so to the beginning of the adventures of Robin RoseHip : A Bird's Tale, with my first book in the series title 'Feathers and Fluff' - a story of empathy, humour, magical sprinkle and in some ways - a modern-day fairy tale that's filled with wonder about nature and the imaginary world of this precious garden bird. A perfect read for spring and Christmas, the first book series spans half a year in the life of a robin.
